EstrellaSA Sintered Stone is a growing, large-format tile distributor based in South Africa. Our goal is to bring you the newest international stone trends while delivering a seamless blend of functionality, beauty, and durability with every slab.
Sintered Stone combines raw minerals (quartz, feldspar, and silica) and subjects them to an advanced technological process called sintering.
It mimics how nature creates diamonds by using massive hydraulic presses (up to 25,000 tons) to compact the raw elements before baking them in an oven at around 1200°C.
The extreme pressure used during manufacturing eliminates internal stress points. This makes our 12mm sintered stone remarkably dense and structurally stable, easily handling cantilevered floating edges and undermount sink cutouts.
EstrellaSA Sintered Stone offers invulnerability to scratching and thermal shock. You can take a scorching hot pan directly off a high-flame gas stove or open braai and place it straight onto a an EstrellaSA surface without a trivet. It won't burn, scorch, or crack. You can even chop food directly on the raw surface without a cutting board.
